Hawthorn embroidery needles DIY

(English below)

I came across the home-made embroidery needles on instagram account @studioforestfriends. (Jessica also released a book recently with descriptions for this DIY)

I started making the needles without the book. First I searched the Hawthorn needles, the needles on the thickest stems are the best to use. With a scalpel knife I removed the layer of bark. I don't have a thin drill for the holes, so I carefully (patient and careful job) made the holes with the scalpel knife and then afterwards used sandpaper to make the ends nice and smooth.

The little piece of fabric I painted with avocado's.
