red wine and black beans

I'm at my happiest outdoors. I have plans to go hiking a lot in the Spring taking my lunch and sketchbook with me. Everything about nature is inspiring. We have beautiful nature so close to us now. Right now I have avocado skins in my dye pot. Last week I dyed with black beans and red wine that we didn't like. Black beans makes purple but after washing it makes a nice blue. Red wine makes a purple that stays purple. If you want to start dyeing for yourself and not be disappointed then it's easy to start with red wine and turmeric (more about this next week).
